Day 1: Introduction to UI/UX Design

The first day sets the foundation for the course. You’ll get a clear overview of the principles of UI/UX design and the tools you’ll be using, such as Figma or Adobe XD. This day also introduces the two key projects you’ll work on throughout the course: one focusing on e-commerce design and the other on a high-level product design. The goal is to set up your workspace and get comfortable with the tools before diving into the projects.

Day 2: Wireframing with UX

Wireframing is the blueprint of any design project. On this day, you’ll be introduced to the concept of wireframes and how they help in laying out the structure of your web design. You will begin creating simple wireframes for the e-commerce project, focusing on the homepage, product listing, and product details pages. This day emphasizes planning your design before adding visuals.

Day 3: Building Design Systems

Design systems are crucial for maintaining consistency in a project. On Day 3, you’ll learn about the components of a design system, such as typography, colors, grids, and UI elements. You’ll start building a design system for the e-commerce project, defining styles for fonts, buttons, and forms. This system will be used throughout your project to ensure a unified design.

Day 4: Designing the Homepage and Product Listing Page

With the wireframes and design system in place, Day 4 focuses on transforming the e-commerce homepage wireframe into a fully designed page. You’ll work on layout, visual hierarchy, and consistency while applying the design system. By the end of the day, your homepage should start taking shape, visually representing the structure laid out in the wireframes.

Day 5: Product Listing and Details Page with UX

Now that the homepage is complete, you’ll move on to designing the product listing and product details pages. Using the design system created earlier, you will apply consistent styles and layouts to these pages. The aim is to create a seamless user experience across different sections of the e-commerce website.

Day 6: Mobile Responsiveness with UX

Responsive design is critical in today’s multi-device world. On Day 6, you’ll learn about responsive design principles and how to adapt your designs for different screen sizes. You’ll take the e-commerce homepage and product pages and ensure they are optimized for mobile devices. This will involve adjusting layouts and UI elements to fit smaller screens while maintaining usability.

Day 7: User Testing and Feedback - Full UX

Day 7 is all about testing your designs. You’ll be introduced to user testing methods and learn how to gather valuable feedback. By testing your designs with real users or peers, you can identify usability issues and areas for improvement. The feedback you collect will guide the next stage of design iteration.

Day 8: Prototype Creation

Prototypes allow you to simulate the user experience. On Day 8, you’ll learn how to create interactive prototypes using Figma or Adobe XD. These prototypes will help you demonstrate the flow of your designs, adding navigation and interactions to mimic the real user journey. By the end of the day, your e-commerce project will feel like a working website.

Day 9: Advanced Features (Animations, Micro-Interactions)

To enhance the user experience, you’ll learn how to incorporate animations and micro-interactions into your prototypes on Day 9. These small but impactful design elements, such as smooth transitions, button animations, and form field interactions, will make your project more engaging and dynamic.

Day 10: Final Presentation and Portfolio

his day also includes a discussion on career paths, portfolio building, and how to transition from learning to working on real-world design projects. By the end, you’ll have two completed projects ready for your portfolio, showcasing your newly acquired UI/UX design skills.
